Sandton

This Tuscan style garden in Sandton Johannesburg, was styled with lollipops, clipped low hedges and Iceberg Roses. This modern Eastern styled, Sandton garden, offers a playful contrast to the green formality.

The initial brief was for a Contemporary Koi pond and seating area styled in Asian themed lush backdrop. The site was on a slight incline and so, we added retaining walls to create interesting level changes and create different functional areas, and to emphasize the flow of cascading water, with wooden decking linking the house to the exterior and lounging area.

Textured greenery and bold planting with accents of Frangipani and Japanese Maples add some flair, while ornamental grass softens hard edges. An existing carved Buddha bust sourced on the clients travels adds to the eastern theme and compliments the clean modern surfaces.
