First Impressions
The entrance is the first thing a visitor sees. This makes a lasting first impression and should be planned and implemented correctly. This space should feel welcoming and set the tone for rest of the space.
The flow of movement within a garden is its most powerful elements. The garden has to communicate with those who enter, giving directions for which to travel to and from selected areas. When a garden is well designed it leads you into selected areas without even being aware of it.
The entrance is what draws people in and should make them feel safe and curious. Just like a grand piano, a large mirror or beautiful chandelier may create a stunning space within the home, so should the initial focal point be as you arrive at a property.
Consideration should be given to your personal creative space and the rest of the garden. From formal, to indigenous, contemporary or whatever is in line with your unique gardens design.
The entrance ought to grab one’s curiosity and should never be underestimated for its effect on perception and property value. It is the preview of your creative space and should be developed and considered with your landscaper.
